New York City rental compliance

The compliance layerfor NYC property owners & managers

Who we are

A compliance-first product team

VantageProp exists to reduce friction between complex rent-regulation rules and the people who operate buildings every day. We focus on clarity, traceability, and respect for the fact that filings are ultimately yours to approve.

What we do

What we do

Turn regulation into actionable workflows

We help you surface obligations, organize tasks by building, and produce packets you can review before anything goes to an agency or court. The goal is defensible preparation — not shortcuts around the law.

Platform capabilities

What we know

Ground answers in real sources

Official HCR, HPD, and other public guidance can be ingested and queried with citations, so your team sees where each answer came from. We do not replace counsel; we help you prepare better questions and cleaner files.

When is annual rent registration due for rent-stabilized units in New York?

Owners of rent-stabilized and rent-controlled units must register annually with DHCR/HCR. The filing window runs from April 1 through July 31 each year #1. Registration is submitted via the DHCR Owner Access portal. Late registrations may still be accepted but can affect the enforceability of rent increases. Owners should confirm each unit's legal rent, any preferential rent, and services included before filing.
